School Council
What does a School Councillor do?
School Councillors are elected by the pupils in their class to:
- Go to School Council meetings and take part in discussions
- Let the class know what was discussed at meetings
- Take the views of classmates to the School Council
- Be involved in projects that the school runs
- Manage a school shop selling essential stationary items
The School Council meet once a fortnight. The adults involved in steering the School Council are Mrs Boorman and Mrs Davis-Foster.
The topic for this academic year is ‘King’s Wood is Going Green.’ The School Council have decided to support the School in its aim to obtain the Green Flag Award for Eco-Schools.
The five green areas that they are focussing on are:
- Switch off electrical appliances including lights
- Recycling paper
