We believe that children’s education benefits from close co-operation between home and school. We publish regular Newsletters and parents receive reports on their child’s achievements. We encourage parents to make appointments to see staff or the Headteacher whenever work or behaviour give cause for concern.

We have an active ‘Friends of King’s Wood’ Association which organise regular events of both a fundraising and an educational nature. Over the years they have financed books for the library, playground equipment and other items.

The ‘Friends of King’s Wood’ Annual General Meeting usually takes place in the autumn term and a committee is elected at this meeting for the academic year. All parents and teachers are automatically members of the Parent Teacher Association.

You can ask your child’s teacher how you can help your child at school. Inform the teacher about anything which might affect your child’s work at school and talk to them if you are concerned about your child’s progress.
